Peoples Choice Festival - Info and Links

July 10-13, 2008
Thursday - Saturday 10:00AM - 8:00PM

Sunday 12 noon - 5:00PM
322 Boalsburg, PA
State College area

The People's Choice Festival of Pennsylvania Arts & Crafts is a homegrown festival celebrating the work of Pennsylvania artists. The first festival, held in 1993, was organized to run at the same time as the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts and to showcase the creativity and workmanship of artisans living in Pennsylvania. The first festival featured 50 artists, a few food booths, and limited all volunteer musical groups.
It is estimated that more than 95,000 people visited the festival in 2007. The 2007 festival featured 171 artists, 48 musical performances taking place in two entertainment tents, food vendors' booths, a young artisan sales area, and numerous youth activities.
The People's Choice Festival is set around the periphery of the Pennsylvania Military Museum grounds in Boalsburg, just 3 miles east of Penn State and State College. The food vendors' booths and artisan tents circle the field. Inside the circle are located two large entertainment tents each seating approximately 400 people, a youth art sales tent, an activity tent, an emergency medical personnel tent, two large dining area tents, four drink booths, and four rest area tents. Children can play on the expansive lawn encircled by the booths and tents.
The People's Choice Festival is a newly incorporated nonprofit organization. The Festival rents the property from the Friends of the Pennsylvania Military Museum. Parking is provided by the Friends.
Free shuttle golf carts are available to assist patrons in getting around the festival grounds.

Glass Designs Fresh from the Flame

I am posting a few new designs. Our new glass donut necklace is really beautiful. I'm sure we will be adding to the color choices. This piece includes the matching leather cord.

It's vacation week!

Trish is in Vegas on vacation this week! While she's away I've been working on a few new jewelry designs. Fine and sterling silver rings. Just in case you're wondering, Fine silver is 99% pure silver and sterling is 92.5% pure silver usually mixed with copper (that's why it tarnishes). Fine silver is a little softer than sterling is, but the reason it's cool is because it doesn't tarnish! Anyways I've included a picture of a few prototypes. Let us know what you think!
